Rates







My rate for recording  a complete audiobook for you would be around £140 per finished hour.  This would include getting the sound files proofed for any errors and then edited  and mastered to the best quality for sale.

It is always difficult to draw up a precise rates list because different clients send me scripts of varying complexity.  For example; if you asked me to narrate your book for you and it was say 220 pages long, you would probably finish up with about 11 hours of sound files. 

However in order to proof read the book, make any necessary corrections, edit intrusive noises from the file, and master it to your satisfaction would probably take an extra 40 hours over and above the length of the original reading.

So you can see that, to do the job well, is very time consuming. Having said that, I try to keep my rates as reasonable as possible.

On the left of the page I have given an approximate idea of what your project might cost but, within limited parameters, there is room for negotiation.
